Packaging and Handling

How we handle our products is just as important as the products themselves.

Instead of plastic packaging or wraps, we use True Cellulose packaging, which is completely non toxic, safe for food storage and fully biodegradable.

Our staff do not wear any perfumes, lotions, sprays or other toxic body-care products and all their clothing is washed in chemical free washing powder to make sure that every aspect of our manufacturing, storage, supply, transfer and delivery process is as clean and as pure as possible.

Even the ink we use to print our invoices and price-lists is the safest we can find on the market.

This Poplin is a deluxe fabric, similar to Percale, but of a greater quality than Sateen. Suitable for all climates, all year round and great to mix and match with our other colours and styles, that form part of our most popular plain dyed organic poplin cotton bedlinen range.

Colours

Our fabrics are not finished with harmful and toxic dye setters, therefore some colour running and fading, can occur, especially in the darker colours. Please note: As different computers may display colours differently, the colour of the actual item may vary slightly from the images pictured. If you are unsure about colours, please do not hesitate to contact us for samples.

Sheet Sets

Our Double, Queen and King Sheet Sets contain one Fitted Sheet, one Cuffed Flat Sheet and two Standard Cuffed pillowcases. Single and King Single sizes include one Standard Cuffed pillowcase.

Construction Notes

The Organature Fitted Sheet is elasticated around the edges, to fit comfortably on all mattress depths.

Cradle and Bassinet sizes are elasticated at ends only to avoid mattress rising.

Our Flat Sheet has a cuffed finish at the head end and an overlock finish on the other 3 sides.

The length of the sheets can vary between 270 – 285 cm depending upon the width of the fabric roll.

Pillowcase and Cushion Cover Sizes

Standard Pillowcase 48 x 73 cm. Made to fit most Standard Pillows on the market.
Queen Pillowcase 54 x 82 cm. Made to fit our Queen Size Luxury Organic Silk Cotton Pillow.
Cushion Cover 40 x 40 cm. Made to fit our 40 x 40 cm Organic Cushion Inserts.
Europe Pillowcases 60 x 60 cm. Made to fit our European Size 60 x 60 cm Organic Cushion Inserts. Europe Pillowcases open at one end and have the envelope inside the pillowslip.
Europe Cushion Cover 60 x 60 cm. Made to fit our European Size 60 x 60 cm Organic Cushion Inserts. Europe cushion cover has a flap opening at the back down the middle.

Washing/Care Instructions

WASHING: Maximum temperature for washing cotton is 40 C as anything higher than this may degrade the fibres and reduce the lifespan of your product. We recommend below 30 C for Organic Cotton. Do not use commercial softening products as they may affect your health and alter the organic nature of the product.

DRYING: Line dry; avoid strong sunlight which can cause bleaching and deterioration of this quality fabric. May be machine dried on low heat, keeping it below the maximum temperature of 30 C. Iron with steam if needed.

Will The Items Shrink When I Wash Them?

Yes, a bit, but don’t worry! Organic cotton isn’t coated with the nasty resins that conventional cotton uses to prevent shrinking. It can shrink up to 5%, but we’ve cut the items to take that into account.

A note about our White products...

Our pure 100% Organic cotton products in White are a pure, natural white, produced with an Oxy Bleach which is organic, safe and non-toxic.
We do not use chemical bleach or optical brighteners normally used to produce a bright white as they are toxic and not organic.
